The Eighth Month
Goodness, this month has been full of milestones! Finn's first tooth popped through at the beginning of January, he's crawling and pulling up on EVERYTHING, he started sticking out his tongue and smacking his lips - he's just SO full of personality and so hilarious! I love watching him play and interact with people. I hope he never loses his sense of curiosity and his friendliness to everyone.
We've continued with "baby-led weaning" and it's going well! We have to keep an eye on him because sometimes he bites off more than he can chew (literally), but he loves eating and trying new foods. I think it makes such a difference that he gets to try things at his own pace and I've read that playing with food is a great way for babies to learn motor skills. His favorites right now are sweet potatoes and squash!
He's crawling all over the place and easily pulling up and walking while holding onto something. I think he'll definitely be walking before his first birthday! His little personality is so fun! He likes to wave his arms and gets so excited to see me and his papa every morning. Goodness, he's just incredibly wonderful.

I love your snuggles even though they're few and far between. I love to watch you learn and explore. One of your favorite "toys" is the remote control and you somehow always turn it off during an important part of any show. You turn when I call your name and give me a sly grin as if to say "come and get me!" Papa and I love you so very much and our love grows every single day. I get so excited thinking about watching you grow and can't wait to see what's in store for your future, sweet bug.
