The Fifth Month
Here we are. Five months with my boy and I find myself saying it again: "Where did the time go?!" It's truly amazing how quickly time has passed and no amount of warnings from experienced mommas could have prepared me for it. My Finn is more active than ever and changing every day. He's almost sitting up, he's rolling from belly to back, he's smiling ALL the time, and he's discovered that he can get his own foot in his mouth - very exciting! I honestly don't even know what to say about my bug to do him justice. He's amazing and sweet and happy and chunky and wonderful.
This month, Finn went on his very first flight (he did amazingly well and slept on the way there and back), had his first visit to the ER (long story, but everything was 100% fine!), and finally met his new little friend, Shepherd!
Finn-bug,
Thank you for your morning smiles - they make waking up so much better. Thank you for your silly sense of humor - they give momma and daddy a reason to be silly. Thank you for your sleepy cuddles - they remind me that you'll only be little for a little while and I need to slow take and savor each moment. While you definitely have your rough moments and sometimes it feels like all we do is nurse, you honestly are an amazingly happy, friendly, sweet baby. I'm so grateful for you and how much brighter you've made our little world. We love you more and more every day!
PS: Even though the photo below is a little blurry, it may be my favorite one of you yet!
